De Standaard Online - Een op de vijf baby's heeft plat hoofdje »

Since doctors started telling parents to put babies to sleep on their backs to avoid SIDS, it seems one in five babies now suffers from a flat head, or rather the parents do, since it’s not a dangerous condition, and would probably sort itself out in time, like in the second year. In about 5% of cases is medical intervention needed, and those cases have to do with defective development of the skull’s sutures, not with babies who sleep on their backs.
